Check and evaluate the baby’s space or nursery, making sure it is safe and that you have all the necessities for bringing baby home
Provide a list of “must haves” plus discussion on things that are nice to have vs. superfluous
Lactation education where I will provide instruction on preparing your body for lactation and how to “get your milk moving” as soon as possible after delivery
Feeding tips including positioning baby and burping
Bottle feeding education where I will instruct you on proper bottle preparation, cleaning, and sterilization. We will also discuss options for formula, if that is your choice/necessity
Basic baby care instruction including diapering, swaddling, massage, and bathing
Birth plan evaluation, making sure you and your birth partner are secure in being able to communicate your needs
Guidance on establishing a successful sleep routine which will lead to longer periods of overnight sleep

During your third trimester, we will meet for an hour to discuss how to prepare your body for lactation and I will show you a variety of ways to hold baby during feeds
We will go over any necessary feeding supplies and products I recommend having on hand
After baby is born, depending on your location, I can either come to your home or meet via zoom on the day you return from the hospital to evaluate the baby’s latch and positioning and to discuss any feeding questions
3 additional 1 hour in-home or virtual visits during the first month postpartum
I will show you how to keep track of feeds so that you can be sure baby is feeding often enough and receiving enough
I will be available daily via text to answer your questions during the first month
Referrals to specialist care when needed
Additional in-home visits may be requested and will be billed @ the rate of $100 per hour

All services of “Preparing for Baby” package at a discount plus infant-focused care:
Minimum 40 hours of infant care per week, typically five 8-hour daytime or four 10-hour night time shifts
Tend to all of baby’s needs (including laundry) while you get some very needed rest
Coaching and guidance on caring for your newborn with gentle and evidence-based practices
Ensure baby is in a consistent and safe sleeping environment, with the end goal of creating good sleep habits leading to long periods of sleep at night
Log all of baby’s activities and developmental milestones
Lactation support: evaluate baby’s latch, provide guidance on various holds and positioning, referrals to specialist care when needed
Bottle feeding education and formula feeding options if that is your choice/need
*rates vary depending upon location, number of infants, and travel time. 24 hour care available with additional terms.

5 days of care and instruction per week, 8-10 hour shifts
Coaching and guidance on proper baby care, safe sleep practices, and infant massage
Lactation support: help and guidance with body feeding
Light help with meal planning and preparation so you are nourished and healing
Light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, sweeping and vacuuming
Coaching and guidance on reducing toxins in the home and safe use of essential oils
Mental health support for you and your partner, watching for signs of postpartum mood disorders

Emotional and physical Support during labor and delivery including the safe use of TENS and essential oils for relaxation and pain management
Lactation support during the “Golden Hour” after birth
Birth plan advocate
Available for consultations before birth to discuss birth plan needs and desires (additional charges apply)
Available for home visits after birth to support feeding and provide instruction on baby care (additional charges apply)

Labor and delivery support including the safe use of TENS and essential oils for relaxation and pain coping
Lactation support during the “Golden Hour” after birth
I will be there for your first night at home (and beyond)
You will be my only client during our contracted period
You get the best of all of my training and expertise
This package allows for the best chance of success in creating routines, establishing milk supply, and providing support for your mental and physical health and recovery
*in-home rates vary depending upon location, number of infants, and travel time/accommodations. Labor and delivery support will be billed separately, starting at $1000 and may be increased due to location, circumstances, and/or special needs.

If you are not sure you need a complete package, I will tailor a plan of services that will meet your needs. Standard rates for a single baby household typically start at $60 per hour for full time work or $65 per hour for part time work. Rates vary due to location, travel time, number of babies, type of care, hours of care needed, etc. Sliding scale rates available - please inquire via email for more information.
