Preparing for Baby

Join other expectant families in a supportive atmosphere as you learn from a local expert, make friends, and build your village of support. This comprehensive series will teach you how to hold, soothe, burp, diaper, bathe, and feed your baby - including lactation education - we’ll go over newborn sleep, your new baby’s appearance and behavior, preemies and NICU stays, baby gear (what you need and what you don’t), car seats, reducing toxins, reliable resources, and more!

Learn to Massage Your Baby

Gentle Newborn Massage for Bonding and Digestion Support

Certified Educator of Infant Massage teaching the Infant Massage USA protocol - a wonderful way to help foster a nurturing bond between you and your baby, improve your understanding of your baby’s communication cues, promote baby’s digestion, and ease their gas pains. It can be taught in the comfort of your own home or at a local event space along with other families with similarly aged newborns.

Four week course for groups of at least 3 families (in a private home or other local space): $150 per couple

Plan and Prepare For Baby

Private in home newborn care education

Comprehensive evidence based educational series taught in the comfort of your own home. This educational series will cover topics including diapering, swaddling, bathing, feeding, soothing, understanding cues, newborn sleep expectations, preparing for lactation, parenting methods and plans, sleep development and more! Taking the course as you prepare for pregnancy/surrogacy/adoption will enable us to go over suggested gear. Taking the course later in pregnancy may allow for lactation education as well.

Learn to Massage Your Baby

Bond with your baby by learning massage

Infant Massage is a wonderful way to help foster a nurturing bond between you and your baby, improve your understanding of your baby’s communication cues, promote baby’s digestion, and ease their gas pains.

This 4 week series will be taught in the comfort of your own home.

$200 per family

Feeding Your Baby

Certified Lactation Educator providing in-home education on feeding your newborn. Topics will include how to prepare the body for lactation, expressing milk, types of formula, bottles and supplies, washing and sterilizing, when to introduce solids, special circumstances like NICU stays and more.

Ask the Expert: In-home Environment & Car Seat Installation Check

2 hour private consultation to check the in-home environment and make sure you have all you need to bring baby safely home as well as check your car seat installation and submit the data to the NHTSA. There will also be time to “Ask the Expert” - be sure to jot your questions down ahead of time so you remember what you wanted to ask!

Daybreak Doula

Nightfall Newborn Care

Personalized In-Home Support

Carrot approved Certified Postpartum Doula, Certified Newborn Care Specialist, and Infant Sleep Specialist providing in-home support.

Daybreak Doula: 6am - 10am

Nightfall Newborn Care: 5pm - 9pm

$250 per shift

Lactation Support

Certified Lactation Educator providing in-home visits.

Lactation Package:

  • One 1 hour pre-birth visit to teach hands-on methods to prepare for lactation as well as go over feeding positions and how to latch (typically around 37 week’s gestation)

  • One 1 hour in-hospital or birthing center visit to answer questions and make sure latch is successful

  • Two 1 hour in-home visits after birth

  • Referrals to specialist care when needed

$300

On-call/emergency support:

$100 per hour

Overnight Newborn Care

Certified Newborn Care Specialist and Infant Sleep Specialist taking care of baby’s needs each time they wake throughout the night

  • Responsive & respectful caregiving - as soon as baby expresses a need, I will take care of it

  • Baby will never be left to cry nor forced to “learn to self soothe”

  • Baby will be fed on-demand, not by a schedule, which is typically every two to three hours for the first few weeks, sometimes months!

  • Parents will receive research-backed and evidence-based guidance and education

$700 for a 10 hour overnight shift

24/7 Travel Care

Certified Newborn Care Specialist to travel with your family, taking care of all of baby’s needs while you handle business or enjoy your vacation!

  • Valid Passport

  • Will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

  • Previous experience traveling with infants and children to Central America, South America, New Zealand, Europe, and all over North America
